Naveen To Inaugurate Netaji Bus Terminal In Cuttack Today
Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today inaugurate the most modern Bus Terminal of the state – The Netaji Bus Terminal in Cuttack.
The new Bus Terminal has been build at Khan Nagar in the Millennium City. Along with this, the Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of 12 number of development projects of Cuttack.
The Netaji Bus Terminal is built on an area of fifteen acres at a cost of Rs 90 Crore and is the most modern bus terminal in the state. It has all state of the art amenities for the passengers. It has facilities to station 192 buses, Waiting Hall, Rest rooms, Ahaar Kendra, Toilets, Separate Ticket Counters for men and women, etc. Electronic display boards will announce the arrival and departure of buses and 24 hour CCTV surveillance will provide pull proof security to the passengers. The modern Ahaar Kendra can accommodate around 1000 people at once.
The three storied main bus terminal building is built on a two acre land with facilities of separate dormitories for male and female passengers, rest rooms for staff, eight private rooms, commercial space, infant care rooms and waiting rooms.
Important amenities such as internal roads, sewage treatment plant, rainwater harvesting, plantation, toilets with a capacity of 122 closets and 91 urinals, 40 kilowatt solar panel system, drinking water taps, police outpost, 32 shops have been provided.
The Integrated Passenger Management System of the Bus Terminal will help the passengers with three master display and 94 numbers of two line display boards.
