BSKY Enables Elderly Woman Done Her Tumor Operation Free of Cost in Vishakhapatnam 

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government’s Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) has enabled an elderly woman to get free medical treatment in Vishakhapatnam.

Shantikumari Satapathy (76), a resident of Tentulikhunti village in Nabarangpur district, was living a painful life due to cyst tumor in her stomach. The doctor warned that her condition may worsen if operation is not done soon.

The family cannot afford the expensive treatment at the super speciality hospital in Bhubaneswar or Visakhapatnam. Her son came to know about the benefits of BSKY Smart Health Card. It brought a new hope in them.

With BSKY health card, they went to Visakhapatnam. Shantikumari was admitted in a hospital there. All the tests and operations were done free of cost. The entire cost was borne by the State Government.

Shantikumari and her son expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the State Government and district administration.
