CM Declares Srimandir Parikrama Project Inauguration Day (January 17) as Govt Holiday

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday declared the Srimandir Parikrama Project inauguration day as government holiday.

All government offices, schools and colleges of the State will remain closed on January 17th, according to an official release.

The inauguration ceremony of the Srimandir Parikrama project will be held on that day with great devotion and enthusiasm.

The Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa is a unique reflection of Odia identity. In order to enable devotees of Lord Jagannath, the adorable deity and the symbol of religious harmony, to participate in the programme happily and plead for devotion to the Lord, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has declared January 17 as an official holiday.
