New Delhi: After Droupadi Murmu was sworn-in as 15th President of India, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday said that he was absolutely delighted and honoured that an Odia lady is holding the highest office in the land.
In his reaction after attending the oath taking ceremony of Droupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, ““I was absolutely delighted and honoured that an Odia lady should be holding the highest office in the land and also for her being a tribal”.
Naveen also congratulated the people of the State for having an Odia lady as the President of India.
Droupadi Murmu on Monday took oath as the 15th President of India.
Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana administered the oath of office to Murmu in the Central Hall of Parliament.
