Cuttack: The Matriculation Summative examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Odisha will be held from tomorrow. All preparations have been completed for a smooth error free conduct of the examinations. This year 5,41,247 students will write the examinations at 3218 exam centers spread across the state. The Board has also set up 316 Nodal Centers for the examinations. All the officials entrusted with the conduct of the examinations including the BEOs. DEOs have been given training and the Center Superintendents have been briefed for error free examinations. Speaking to media, Board Chairman Ramasis Hazra has said that the question papers have reached the Nodal Centers and they will be dispatched to the Exam centers securely one hour before the examinations tomorrow.
The Board has also constituted 74 teams for surprise checking at the examination centers. The exams will start at 8 AM and students have been asked to reach the centers one hour before. They are allowed to bring with them only Blue and Black Pens, pencils and Geometry Box. All the officials and teachers who need to be present during the examinations are debarred from carrying mobile phones. Keeping in mind the rise in temperatures, facilities for drinking water is being made in all exam Centers.
