Ama Hospital: Construction Depts Asked to Complete Civil Works within Scheduled Time

Bhubaneswar: The projects under Ama hospital, another significant 5-T initiative of State Government for transformation of selected health facilities, have been prioritized.

Secretary Health and Family Welfare Shalini Pandit in a high level review meeting held in Lokseva Bhawan conference hall today asked senior officers of Works department, and district collectors to prioritize the works and complete all civil modification works within the scheduled time. Target was set to complete all works by December, 2023. District Collectors were also asked to open separate accounts for transaction of funds under Ama Hospital.

Review showed that Electronics and IT department was developing an application based IT platform for collection and measuring of patients’ satisfaction level. The software would be placed and used in all hospitals under the scheme.

Further, Secretary Pandit directed the chief district medical and public health officers of concerned districts to take expeditious steps for posting of required manpower in Ama Hospitals. They were also asked to take appropriate steps for proper documentation of the transformative works being done under the scheme with pre and post status photos/videos. It was decided that all Ama Hospitals would have uniform type of designs, gates, rest sheds, help desks, digital display boards etc. Districts will closely monitor progress ground level works and upload those in Government portal on monthly basis.
