Andhra Pradesh Govt Puts up Stickers in Odisha’s Kotia Region

Bhubaneswar: Andhra Pradesh has once again attempted to intrude the Kotia region in Odisha’s Koraput district.

Even though, the governments in both the states have been changed, the situation in the disputed territory of Kotia remains unchanged.

Andhra Pradesh, which is often accused of trying to encroach into the Kotia region, has again triggered a fresh row.

As per the media reports, the Andhra Pradesh government has up its stickers in the houses in Kotia panchayat for the programme ‘Idi Manchi Prabhutvam’ (This is Good Government) on the occasion of completion of 100 days in office. The stickers are written in Telugu. Through this programme, Andhra Pradesh is reportedly trying to make awareness among the people of Kotia about the success of the government.

Andhra Pradesh has been vigorously trying to dominate the Kotia region after the elections.
For the past few days, the officials of the Andhra government are making frequent visits to Kotia and holding meetings with the villagers. Recently, a private mobile company has been allowed to install its tower in Kotia with the instructions of the Andhra government. The electricity meter installed by Odisha was removed. Andhra electricity meter was installed at that place.
Meanwhile, there has been a growing demand in the intellectual circles that the Odisha Government needs to pay special attention towards Kotia.
