Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has traced huge disproportionate assets from the possession of Prasanna Ku Pani, JE (Technical Consultant),Samagra Sikhya Abhijana in the office of the BEO, Pallahara, Angul district.
During the raids, the Vigilance sleuths unearthed 17 plots in various locations, bank and insurance deposits worth Rs 51 lakh, cash worth Rs 3.21 lakh and other assets during searches on properties linked to Pani.
The Vigilance officials seized one four-wheeler and three two-wheelers from the possession of the JE.
Earlier, based on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by the JE, simultaneous house searches were being conducted by Odisha Vigilance at nine places in Khurdha, Angul and Puri districts.
Six DSPs, six Inspectors and other staffs have conducted the raids on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
