Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS Officer Arabinda Kumar Padhee today assumed the charge of Principal Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department, Government of Odisha.
Padhee, a 1996 batch IAS officer, was appointed to the said post by the Government of Odisha after his return from the central deputation.
He will also hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department.
The staff and members of the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department gave him a grand welcome.
On this occasion, Padhee discussed with the officials regarding various schemes and programs of the Department and advised them to maintain transparency in implementing the programs and work as a team.
He said, as agriculture is one of the important sectors of the economy, its development will lead to the state’s development.
