Jharsuguda: An ash pond of the OPGC IB Thermal, Banharpali in Jharsuguda district breached today morning causing extensive damage to crops. According to sources, the No 3 ash pond of OPGC breached about 20 feet and the liquid ash and toxic water from the pond damaged several acres of crops including vegetables and paddy crop in three villages.
