Balangir: STF Seizes Fake Currency Notes worth Rs 31.27 Lakh; One Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police has seized fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 31.27 lakh in Balangir district and arrested one person in this connection.

The STF team recovered the fake currency notes from the possession of the accused at Titlagarh main bus stand under Titlagarh police station. The STF also recovered other incriminating materials from the accused.

The accused was then arrested and was forwarded to the court of SDJM, Titlagarh, as per reports.

The fake currency notes will be sent to the RBI’s Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited for verification.

To date, the STF has seized fake currency notes worth Rs 78,70,600.
