Bhubaneswar: Two more districts – Balasore and Bolangir will join the ambitious Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will formally launch the scheme for these districts virtually. As part of this, the Chief Minister will launch 4465 projects worth Rs 178 crore for Balasore district. Likewise, 3911 projects worth Rs 158 crore belonging to Bolangir district will also be launched.
The Government of Odisha will spend Rs 3,397 crore in 6,794 gram panchayats across the State on various developmental projects. Each panchayat will get Rs 50 lakh under the scheme. Under the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme, the Jagannath culture will be preserved in villages. All temples and religious places will be developed. Efforts were being made to improve digital infrastructure in each village which will lead to setting up of a science park, work hub and banking facilities. Primary schools will also be included in this programme.
