Berhampur: Berhampur Police has recovered 136 stolen mobile phones of a private company and arrested two persons in this connection.
Manager of Hiveloop Logistics Pvt. Ltd, which is located near Sahu Kanta NH 16, lodged a complaint with Gosaninuagaon PS alleging stolen of 136 new mobile phones and 4 chargers from the office.
On investigation, the police nabbed two accused persons – G. Naresh (21) and S. Ajay Kumar (22) and recovered the mobile phones and chargers from them. Both are from Berhampur.
The Police said that that G. Naresh, who was working as sales man in the company along with his friend S. Ajay Kumar have committed theft of the mobile phones and charger by breaking open the lock of the shutter of the office.
All the stolen articles have been seized from the possession of the accused persons and handed over to the owner. Total cost of the recovered mobile phones is around Rs. 2.5 lakh.
The accused persons have been forwarded to the court after arrest, Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M informed in a statement.
