Berhampur: In its drive against gambling activities in the ongoing festive season, the Berhampur Police has registered 36 gambling cases since October 1.
The police also seized cash worth Rs 7,74,132. As many as 215 persons have been detained along with the seizure of 78 mobile phones and 41 motorcycles during the same period, said Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
He said that there will be zero tolerance to gambling activities in the Berhampur Police District. Strong action will be taken against the persons involved in gambling activities, the SP added.
