Berhampur: Two-Day Regional Workshop for Sensitization on Human Trafficking Being Organized

Berhampur: A two-day regional workshop for sensitization on “Human Trafficking” is being organized at Berhampur by Crime Against Women & Children Wing, CID-CB with technical support of UNICEF & in association with Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation.
ADG, CAW & CW Rekha Lohani and IG, Southern Range Satyabrata Bhoi graced the workshop.

SP Berhampur Dr. Saravana Vivek M also participated in the programme.
Officers of IAHTU and IUCAW and others in the rank of Addl SP, DySPs, Inspectors and Sub Inspectors from eight districts Berhampur, Ganjam , Kandhamal, Koraput, Gajapati , Rayagada , Malkangiri and Nabrangpur participated in the training workshop.

Retired IPS officer Alok Pateria, Sampurna Behura , Advocate & Director Legal, Bachpan Bachao Andolan , Amit Dubey, Cyber Security Expert acted as resource persons and made the officers aware about legal provisions about investigation and prosecution, especially about newly emerging field of cyber trafficking.

The workshop concludes on July 14.
