Bhubaneswar: In a major development that will benefit lakhs of women employees of the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved 25 days casual leave per year for them. According to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office, Naveen has announced annual Casual Leave of 25 days for women employees working in various departments of the state government. An additional 10 days of leave has been granted for women government employees, while it was only 15 days earlier.
The Chief Minister has taken this decision keeping in mind the family responsibilities and various problems of women. It is worth mentioning here that Odisha was the first state in the country to take transformative steps like reserving 33 percent reservation of government jobs for women in the 90s.
