Berhampur: Former Hinjilicut Vice Chairman and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Debananda Mahapatra has resigned from the saffron party.
Debananda announced his decision to severe the ties with the BJP in a press meet held today.
He had unsuccessfully contested against Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik during the 2014 and 2009 Assembly elections.
