Bhubaneswar: The BJD leaders from Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts met party President Naveen Patnaik here on Monday.
During the meeting, the BJD supremo urged the party leaders to work together and serve the people.
Naveen also expressed his concerns over the alleged deterioration in the law and order situation in the state under the BJP government.
He said that the BJD will intensify its fight to protect the dignity of the women and protect people against the increase in the price of the essential goods under the BJP government.
The BJD leaders from Kalahandi and Nabarangpur apprised the party supremo about the current political scenario and activities of the party in their respective districts.
Many developmental works have been done in these districts during the BJD government, Naveen said.
He also urged the BJD leaders to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
The BJD leaders from Nabarangpur district drew the attention of the party President on the recent rape and murder of a minor tribal girl in Tentulikhunti block. They also informed that they have given a call for a 12-hour bandh September 26.
