BJD Set to Make Major Organizational Rejig; Appoints Santrupt Misra as Political Secretary to Party Supremo Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is all set to make a major organizational rejig, replacing the all the state level office bearers of the party.

The BJD has appointed Dr. Santrupt Misra as Political Secretary to party supremo Naveen Patnaik.

All state level office bearers of BJD are dissolved with immediate effect. The new state level office bearers will be appointed soon. However, the district level office bearers of the party will continue to hold their office, party President Naveen Patnaik said in an order.

“Dr. Santrupt Misra is hereby appointed as Political Secretary to Shri Naveen Patnaik, President, BJD with immediate effect”, according to another order.

Sukant Kumar Panda has been appointed as PRO to the Leader of Opposition (LoP) and BJD President Naveen Patnaik.

The BJD has appointed five leaders – Dr. Santrupt Misra, Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Dr. Amar Patnaik, Dr. Sasmit Patra, and Pradeep Kumar Majhi – as National Spokesperson.

Replacing existing panel, the party has appointed 14 state-level spokespersons. They are Prasanna Acharya, Pramila Mallik, Debi Prasad Mishra, Pratap Keshari Deb, Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo, Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, Devi Ranjan Tripathy, Shrimayee Mishra, Lekhashree Samantasinghar, Sudam Marndi, Sulata Deo, Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Bhrugu Baxipatra and Lenin Mohanty.

The BJD has also appointed four party leaders as the media coordinators. The leaders are Pratap Jena (senior state media coordinator), Swayam Prakash (social media coordinator), Lenin Mohanty (media coordinator), and Priyabrata Majhi (media coordinator).
