BJD to Hold Month-Long Jana Sampark Pada Yatra from October 2nd
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal will organize a month-long Jana Sampark Pada Yatra from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd to November 2nd across the state.
The Jana Sampark Pada Yatra will be held across Odisha in all districts, constituencies, towns, Panchayats, and wards with active participation of party members, workers and common man.
During the Pada Yatra, Gandhi Jayanti and Sastri Jayanti on 2nd October, Utkalamani Gopabandhu Jayanti on October 9th, Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Jayanti on 11th October will also be celebrated.
In a letter written to the Party members including the Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly, District Presidents, Party functionaries and leaders of the BJD frontal organizations, BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik has instructed all to make the Pada Yatra a grand success.
The party observers in all the wards starting from urban areas to Panchayats, Blocks, District observers, MLAs and candidates from Constituency levels, and District presidents at the district level will ensure that the Jana Sampark Pada Yatra is successfully observed.
All the frontal organizations such as the Biju Juba Janata Dal, Biju Krushak Janata Dal, Biju Mahila Janata Dal and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal, Minority cell and all associated wings will organize the Pada Yatra and ensure that all their members including the general people and party members in large numbers participate in the Yatra.
During the Month-long program, there will be no Pada Yatra on festival days. The Pada Yatra will start with garlanding of the statue or the photo of Mahatma Gandhi and Biju Patnaik. Tributes will also be paid to the local freedom fighters. During the Pada Yatra, the Biju Janata Dal members will visit every house to enlighten the people about the welfare schemes of the BJD Government. They will also organize, Blood Donation Camps, tree plantation and other welfare activities.
On 2nd November, the leaders, functionaries and members of the Party will be present at the district level program and take a mass pledge to rededicate themselves to the service of the people of Odisha and work with dedication for the development of the state and welfare of the people.
