Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has taken a tough stand against illegal billboards and posters on government properties in the capital city. As the Municipal Corporation is working on a massive city beautification drive before the commencement of the Hockey World Cup, the illegal posters are causing hindrance.
As part of this, the BMC is undertaking paintings on walls with social messages and murals. As the efforts are hindered due to illegal posters, the BMC has lodged an FIR against the political party Samrudha Odisha at the Nayapalli Police Station for affixing posters on government walls and other properties. It has also requested strict action against the Party. Further, the civic body has also warned that such violators will face tough penal action in the future too.
