BMC Launches Mega Campaign on ‘3R’ to Make Environment Free from Waste

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday launched a mega campaign on “3R” (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) to make the environment free from waste.

The campaign was launched at Utkal Galleria Mall in the presence of BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange and others.

“A mega campaign launched today on “3R” Reduce, Reuse & Recycle at Utkal Galleria Mall, the aim is to make our environment free from waste”, the BMC said while appealing the citizens to join the initiative by donating items, reusing items and reducing the waste generated.

Kkiosks will be opened in various locations of the city where citizens can donate items that can be processed & converted into valuable commodities, the BMC stated.

The details of items that can be donated and place of donation will be shared soon. A small demonstration on banned items & eco-friendly items was also done, it added.

Addl. Comm-II, ZDCs, DC-Sanitaion, Corporator, Team BMC, Utkal Galleria representatives and locals participated in the inauguration programme.
