Bhubaneswar: Taking another step forward towards ensuring a cleaner and greener Bhubaneswar, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation today launched its new initiative Team SHINE – Sanitation & Hygiene Inspection for Neat Environment. Mayor Sulochana Das launched the initiative at a special program organized today in the presence of Deputy Mayor, Police Commissioner, BMC Commissioner, DCP Bhubaneswar, Standing Committee Chairman, Additional Commissioners, ZDCs and other dignitaries.
Team SHINE comprises of 10 teams each having five members. The teams along with 67 Sanitation Inspectors will seamlessly align with BMC’s larger vision in making Bhubaneswar First with citizen participation. Team SHINE will undertake enforcement visits across the city to check for illegal dumping of garbage. The teams will create awareness initially and take strict action thereafter on rule violators.
