Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has lifted restrictions imposed on gathering in social functions like marriage, death rituals, thread ceremony and other functions.
In a fresh order, the BMC said that it has withdrawn the restrictions related to gathering and total number of persons to be allowed in functions related to marriage/ Death Rituals/thread ceremony within the BMC limit.
Earlier on October 4, the civic body had issued a set of guidelines related to gathering and the total number of persons to be allowed in the functions and had issued certain clarification/additional stipulations on the earlier order on October 5.
“In view of the current scenario, the restrictions imposed vide the above two orders is hereby withdrawn w.e.f 01-11-2021,” the latest BMC order reads.
However, the Government orders related to gathering in social functions like marriage/death rituals/thread ceremony, etc., will be applicable in BMC jurisdiction henceforth, it stated.
