BMC Starts Dengue Awareness Programme at Schools

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday started dengue awareness programme at schools in the capital city to sensitize the students regarding dengue preventive measures.

“Dengue awareness programme at schools. Cspur Govt High School students were sensitized regarding Dengue preventive measures. Team BMC SI, Anti Larva Team, Ward Officer, Project Coordinator, MPHW, Volunteers, Swachha Sathis and their Supervisor attended. StopDengue”, the BMC tweeted.

An insightful dengue awareness campaign took place at Sai International School, led by BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange. The programme focused on educating students about dengue prevention through home audits and interactive sessions.

The BMC Commissioner has highlighted key environmental concerns, advocating for zero dumping in the city, avoiding single-use plastics, maintaining clean surroundings and practicing proper waste segregation.

The presence of Additional Commissioner II, DC-Sanitation, ADUPHO, Healthcare professionals, and the BMC team underscored the event’s significance in promoting public health and environmental consciousness.
