BMC Starts Its Activities at Newly Inaugurated ICOMC Tower

Bhubaneswar: Subsequent to the inauguration of BMC ICOMC tower by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, officials of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) have started their activities in the new place.

The Contracts Committee headed by BMC Mayor Sulochana Das in presence of Deputy Mayor Manjulata Kanhar and Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange along with senior officers has discussed on progress of activities of different developmental activities.

“We need to fix the timeline to achieve the target in ward-wise activities. We have to map the progress in each ward. This could help us responding citizens”, told the Mayor.

On his advice, the BMC Commissioner has instructed all concerned officers to place the report to this effect.

One mega Micro-composting Center (MCC) and one mega Material Recovery Facility (MRF) will be installed at Palasuni area. Committee has instructed to give implementation letter to the selected party soon for better progress in city sanitation.

Initially, the H & UD Department has sanctioned to construct 30 ward offices .It was discussed to demarcate the area soon to construct the ward offices.

Officer concerned along with engineering section of BMC will place the report to start the work soon.
In the coming meeting progress of projects will be reviewed in line with objectives, told the Mayor. She also stressed on construction of ward offices for ensuring service at community level.
