Bhubaneswar: In a unique step, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) today started the trial run of the ‘Safa App’ in order to ensure hassle-free and real-time collection of waste.
The trial run of the mobile app started at Ward No- 40 in the BMC area. It will be available for the entire city soon, said BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange.
The citizens can download the App to get all sanitation services under one platform, he added.
“Safa App”, which is a real-time garbage collection solution, will enable the civic body to track the vehicles engaged in garbage collection.
The main aim of the app is to provide sanitation service to bulk waste generators who are being forced to dump garbage at random places due to lack of space for their safe disposal.
Using this app, the people will be able give their feedback on issues pertaining to waste collection, transportation and its disposal.
