Bridge Collapses In Cuttack Chatra Bazaar; Three Rescued

Cuttack: In a tragic incident, an old bridge collapsed today evening at Chatra Bazaar in Cuttack in which three persons injured one of them seriously. The injured persons were rescued by the ODRAF and Fire Service personnel from the debris and sent to the SCB Medical College. The abandoned bridge was being used by some vegetable sellers to sell vegetables. While the rescue operations are still continuing, it is feared that that more persons are trapped under the debris.

Senior officials including Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani, DCP Prateek Singh, CMC Commissioner Ananya Das have reached the spot and supervising the rescue operations.
