BSE Changes Matric Exam Pattern: No More Summative Assessments from This Academic Session

Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has modified the pattern of Class X exam from this academic session.

The Board has decided to introduce the old pattern of the annual exam for Class X and Class IX students of government-run high secondary schools across the State. It will not conduct the summative assessment, which was being held due to Covid 19 for the last two years.

“Instead of two summative assessments, we have now decided to go back to the old system of conducting a yearly exam from this academic session. Half-yearly examination will also be introduced in Class X for which the board will provide question papers,” said BSE President Ramasish Hazra.

There will be provision for supplementary exams, Hazra added.
