Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Crime Branch team investigating the murder of Manas Swain, a cameraman of a local web channel, has sealed the ‘Dayal Ashram’ old age home at Sundarpada here.
The Crime Branch team has reportedly found some evidence from the old age home, which was run by prime accused Sarmistha Rout.
Earlier today, a five-member team of the Crime Branch has reached the Ashram for investigation.
Notably, Manas Swain was kidnapped from Bhadrak on February 6 and brought to the old age home where he was assaulted physically. Later, on March 12, the body of Swain was recovered from Badhipatna hills in Rajsunakhala area of Nayagarh, the police said earlier.
