New Delhi: The Appointment Committee of the Union Cabinet has approved the repatriation of Special Director of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Sunil Kumar Bansal to his parent state Odisha.
The 1987-batch IPS officer will be the next Director General of Police (DGP) in Odisha.
He will take over from January 1, 2022 on a two-year term after the retirement of incumbent DGP Abhay on December 31,2021.
Bansal was appointed for the top post on December 15.
