Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested a senior clerk of SDVO, Champua in Keonjhar district for allegedly accepting bribe.
The official has been identified as Mahendra Kumar Sethy.
Sethy has been apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.10,000 from a complainant in order to process his file for release of arrear pay and regularisation of service.
In this connection, Balasore Vigilance PS Case has been registered against the clerk under section 7 P C.( Amendment) Act, 2018. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance stated.
