Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik today paid his last respects to senior Biju Janata Dal leader and former Speaker of Odisha Assembly Maheswar Mohanty. The Chief Minister arrived at the Party Headquarters Sankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar and offered floral tributes. Later, the mortal remains were taken to the State Assembly where a Guard of Honour was given.
Several party leaders, ministers, MPs, MLAs, former lawmakers, and common people also paid their last respects. The last rites of the former speaker will be held in Puri.
