Bhubaneswar: The District Legal Services Authority, Khurda at Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Commissionerate of Police, Bhubaneswar has launched a self-defense training programme on occasion of celebration of Children’s Day today at Unit-2 Capital Girl’s High School.
The training programme aims to train the minor girls to ensure every girl child has right to safety at all stages and shall not be subjected to any harm, abuse or harassment.
It is an unique initiative been taken which would be a lamp bearer to the girls in our society enabling them to face in case of any mishappening and this training would eventually be followed up in each and every school in the district in roaster basis. Anupama Swain and Chinmayee Bhuyan imparted training on the occasion.
The program was inaugurated by District Judge-Cum-Chairman, DLSA, Khurda Nisit Nisank and Commissioner of Police Saumendra Priyadarshi in presence of Secretary of DLSA Saudamini Singh, D.C.P., Bhubaneswar Prateek Singh, District Education officer, Khordha Biswanath Tarai, District Child Protection Officer Banishree Patnaik and other Judicial officers.
