Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday dedicated the much-awaited Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economy Initiatives (SAMALEI) project to the people of the State.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister had a darshan of Maa Samaleswari and took blessings of the deity. The CM prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of the State.
The SAMALEI project is one of the most ambitious under the 5T initiatives of the State Government.
With the inauguration of this project, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has made the dream of the people of west Odisha, especially Sambalpur, a reality.
5T Chairman Kartik Pandian was also present during the inauguration of the project.
The project includes peripheral development of the shrine, construction of a heritage corridor, amenities for pilgrims, improved access to the temple, and development of the Mahanadi riverfront.
The project is proposed to comprehensively develop the temple precinct to provide a unique experiential experience to visitors and pilgrims by creating an ambiance of spirituality.
The State Government has spent more than Rs 200 crore on this project.
