Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today distributed offer letters to the students of ITI Berhampur who were selected during the Placement Week of the institute.
The state government-run ITI, Berhampur had organized the placement week from December 1 to 8 for its students who are going to appear the AITT examination this month.
Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Reghu G., DTE&T Odisha and Vijay Amruta Kulange, Collector Ganjam had inaugurated the placement week.
1403 placement have been offered by 18 companies, of which 154 offers have been given to girl candidates.
Suzuki Motors, Gujarat; Yokohama, Gujarat; TATA Advanced System, Hyderabad; Hero Moto Corp Ltd, Rajasthan; PIAGGIO, Pune; Kitex, Kerala; Lava International Ltd, Noida, New Delhi; TVS Sundaram Auto Components Ltd., Chennai; MRF Tyres, Gujarat; Jubilant Food Works, Bangalore & Mumbai; Freudenberg-Nok. Chennai ; Viraj Profiles Limited, Mumbai and Rising Stars Mobile, Andhra Pradesh, had participated in the placement week.
The Principal Secretary, SD&TE Department, DTE&T, Odisha and Ganjam Collector highly appreciated the innovative work of ITI, Berhampur.
The students are delighted being selected before passing out from the institute.
Dr. Rajat Kumar Panigrahy, Principal of the institute said that for the first time any ITI in the country is organized such type of placement week. This is possible due to the branding of the ITI and for Securing 12th rank in all India grading by Govt of India.
The skilled in Odisha echo system attracting industries to reach to ITI Berhampur from all the corners of country, he added.
