CM Lauds Efforts of Mission Shakti SHGs for Promoting Millet Products at International Food Exhibition in France
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has lauded the efforts of women self-help group (WSHG) members of Mission Shakti for promoting Odisha’s millet products at the ‘International Food Exhibition in France.
“Appreciate efforts of Mission Shakti WSHG members in promoting our millet products at the ‘International Food Exhibition SIAL (Salon International de l’ alimentation), in France. Odisha continues to support millets farmers and promotes climate resilient agricultural practice with participation of women SHGs” the CM said.

Four members of Mission Shakti SHGs have participated in SIAL in Paris where they displayed millet biscuits and laddoos and describe its nutritional values.
Chandrana Sahu of Chirikipada Sasan in Ganjam district’s Polasara block, Prema Das of Sundargarh district, Padmalaya Mohanty and Reena Bohaidar of Khurda district have participated in the event.
The Odisha Government has decided to celebrate November 10 as Millets Day.
