Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the Foundation Day celebrations of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan and laid foundation stone of the teachers’ training centre at Samant Bihar here on Monday.
The State Government will invest Rs 25 crore for this training centre. The centre will have auditorium for training of 300 teachers, 10 workshop centers with accommodation for 100 teachers.
The Chief Minister also launched ‘Bajra Scheme’ for the welfare of teachers. The teachers will donate their one-day salary to the Bajra Welfare Fund. From this fund they will be provided with help during various financial problems.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also felicitated five best OAVs and five meritorious students.
School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash, Education Consultant to CM, Upendra Tripathy, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian, School & Mass Education Department Secretary Aswasthi S and OAV Project Director Sangam Mohapatra were present on the occasion.
