Bhubaneswar: After taking oath as the Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi chaired the first cabinet meeting of his Government this evening.
The State Cabinet approved four proposals in the first meeting.
As per the Cabinet decision, the four gates of the Srimandir will be reopened for the devotees from tomorrow morning.
The gates will be reopened for the devotees during the Mangala Alati ritual of the deities in the early morning tomorrow. All ministers will remain present at the temple on the occasion, said the Chief Minister while briefing the media.
The Cabinet has also decided to create a corpus fund of Rs 500 crore for the management, repair and beautification of Srimandir.
The Cabinet has also announced to introduce a special scheme for farmers ‘Samrudha Krushaka Niti’ in which the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy will be enhanced to Rs 3,100 per quintal very soon.
The State Government will also implement Subhadra Yojana for the welfare of women and children in the State. Under the scheme, each woman in the State will get a cash voucher of Rs 50,000 for the development of her family.
The Chief Minister said that the concerned departments have been instructed to prepare guidelines within the next 100 days for the implementation of the scheme.
