CM Naveen Attributes Effective Policy Decisions & Successful Implementation of Schemes For Odisha’s Lowest Unemployment Rate

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has attributed the State’s success in lowering unemployment rate to effective policy decisions and successful implementation of the various schemes of the government. In a tweet, Naveen said “With effective policy decisions & successful implementation of schemes, #Odisha has recorded 3rd lowest unemployment rate of 1.1% in country, as per the latest report by @_CMIE. The state has also recorded one of the lowest unemployment rates (0.9%) during July 2022.”

Odisha has showed stellar success in lowering the unemployment rate in the state and stood third best in the country in terms of lowest unemployment rates. According to the newest data released by the Center For Monitoring Indian Economy, Odisha has recorded 1.1 percent unemployment rate as on 3rd November 2022, which is far behind the national unemployment rate of 7.7 percent. Odisha has been constantly performing well in keeping the unemployment rate under one percent for the last many quarters. Earlier in July 2022, Odisha had recorded the unemployment rate of 0.9 percent only.

Odisha has become a role model in job creation in the country. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha’s efforts to create conducive environment for massive investment, industrial development and job creation have been bearing fruits in reducing unemployment rate in the State. In February 2022, Odisha topped the country with best unemployment rate of 1.0 per cent.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha is fast emerging as the manufacturing hub in the country.
