Balasore: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Imami-KISS Residential School at Remuna in Balasore district. Built on a land of twelve acres with an expenditure of Rs 50 crore, the school has been set up by Imami and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences. Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said that the initiative will strengthen Odisha Government’s endeavor to bring in quality education for the people of Odisha. He thanked Imami and KISS for their efforts in setting up the school and expressed happiness that the KISS has set up Schools at Bhubaneswar, Mayurbhanj and Balangir, and has plans to set up schools in all 30 districts. He said that Education is the strongest medium of transformation and it brings the biggest change. More than 1200 poor children will receive free modern education at this school.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the state government gives utmost priority to education and the thrust is on School Transformation under the aegis of 5T Initiatives. While about 4000 schools have been transformed in the state, the developed infrastructure and facilities will help encourage students to study. It has created a strong commitment among the students, he said.
