CM Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates Odia University, Remembers The Great Leaders Who Fought For The Protection of Odia Language

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the Odia University at Satyabadi in Puri District. He inaugurated the new building of the university through virtual mode. The Chief Minister also addressed the people of the state and spoke about the pride of Odia language and literature.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik remembered the legends who contributed and fought for safeguarding the Odia Language such as Utkalamani Gopabandhu Das and Adikabi Sarala Das. He also remembered the great leaders of Odisha who fought for the protection of Odia language and enriched it through their writings. Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said, “The first World Odia Language Conference to be held from February 3rd is a matter of pride for the entire Odia community”.

Naveen had laid the foundation stone of Odia University at Satyabadi on October 9, 2019. The state of the art Odia University is built on 9 acres of land. There are eight modern classrooms, e-library, library, hostels, canteen and administrative building on the campus.
