Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be on a week-long visit to Japan from today. He is scheduled to leave for Delhi today and depart for Japan tomorrow. His power packed visit to Japan aims to attract huge technology driven investments to the state.
The Chief Minister is accompanied by a high level team of officials.
As per reports, Naveen will visit three Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. He will hold discussions with various Japanese industrialists, Industry associations and hold road show to attract investments for the state. He is also scheduled to interact with the Odia diasporas in Japan during his weeklong trip.
The high level delegation accompanying the Chief Minister includes Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma, 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Resident Commissioner Ravikant, and Special Secretary to CM R Vineel Krishna. Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena is also likely to visit Japan.
The focus of the Indian delegation led by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be to attract investments in the metals and minerals sector, food processing, chemicals, tourism and technology.
Japan is an important investment partner for Odisha. The country has been actively participating in the Make in Odisha Conclaves. It was also the preferred county for the 2022 Make In Odisha Conclave held in Odisha.
