Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today address and give Gurumantra to the 6891 newly appointed school teachers. He will attend the special Orientation Program for the teachers being held at the Kalinga Stadium today. As many as 6891 teachers will also be handed over their appointment letters by the Chief Minister. The appointment of the new teachers is part of the efforts of the Government of Odisha to augment teaching resources in the government run schools by nearly 12 thousand new teachers.
The government of Odisha has been accelerating the process of appointment of teachers and other staff for the government schools after successfully implementing the School Transformation program under the 5T Initiatives. While more than 1100 schools in the state have been transformed into modern learning centers with state of the art infrastructure, another 4000 schools are undergoing transformation.
