CM Naveen To Launch Developmental Works of Joranda Mahima Shrine Today

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today visit Joranda in Dhenkanal to launch the ambitious transformation program of the Joranda Mahima Shrine or Pitha. He will launch the various developmental works of the Joranda Mahima Gadi worth Rs 112 Crore. All preparations have been completed for the Chief Minister’s visit.

The program will be attended by many Sadhus of Mahima Dharma. The developmental works include peripheral development of the whore shrine area, establishment of a grand Sunya Mandapa, Upasana center, and Bati Mandap.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive at Joranda by 11 AM. 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian will also be present during the visit. In June this year, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had approved Rs 112 crore for the development of the Joranda Shrine.

5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian had visited the place and discussed the redevelopment issues and plans with the members of the Mahima Pitha and district administration officials. He had instructed the officials to prepare a detailed project report of the same. According to sources, the development projects will include, reconstruction of the Samadhi Pitha, Prayer House, Boundary wall, restoration of temple pond, construction of bus stand, development of primary health centre, reconstruction of Samaja Pitha and development of other amenities for the devotees. A new road from Jagannath Temple to the school ground will also be laid.
