CM Naveen’s Message on Samalei Project: It’s a Symbol of Brotherhood and Carries the Faith of Crores Of Devotees
Sambalpur: On the eve of the inauguration of the Samalei Project, Chief Minister Naveen addressed the people of Odisha through a video message. In his message, Naveen explained the objective behind the Samalei Project and called it a symbol of brotherhood. Speaking in Sambalpuri dialect, Naveen said that the Samaleswari Temple carries the faith of crores of devotees. The sentiments of devotees are associated with the abode of Maa Samalei.
The Chief Minister has said that Maa Samaleswari is the presiding deity of whole Odisha. Keeping in view the people’s aspirations and sentiments of the people, the transformation work has been taken up. He also said that the Project was completed with the blessings of the Goddess. By the grace of Maa Samalei, the work was completed in a record time. This project will take Odisha’s tourism and economy forward. Thousands of devotees will be able to witness the Mahanadi Alati. The Samalei project is a testimony to brotherhood. He also explained how despite the Covid pandemic, the work was completed only because of the blessings of the Divine Mother. The objective of the redevelopment and transformation of the temple was fourfold – ensuring that the devotees get a blessed spiritual experience, boost to local tourism and thereby, propel the economy of Odisha, thousands of devotees can witness the Mahanadi Aarti from the Mahanadi River Front Project and it symbolized brotherhood and the special blessings of the Divine Mother.
In his address, Naveen said, the original temple area, which was on four acres of land, has now been expanded to a beautiful 38 acres under 5T Initiatives. The number of devotees to the temple is increasing day by day. The project has been undertaken with an eye on the future. Devotees will no more face any problems for centuries. Art, culture and sculpture have been given adequate place in the project. The worship of Samalei will be much easier and convenient.
He also added that the devotees will be able to have darshan and worship Maa Samalei in a divine environment. Be it Chaitra Navratri or Dussehra Navratri, there will be no more problems for the devotees even during the rush hours. The Chief Minister also thanked those artisans and craftsmen who have contributed in the transformation works. The Chief Minister also appealed all to join together and pray Maa Samaleswari on the auspicious occasion.
