Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today go on a two-day visit to Rourkela. During his visit today he will receive the Guinness World Record for Birsha Munda International Hockey Stadium. The stadium has found place in the Guinness Book Of World Records as the world’s biggest hockey stadium in seating capacity. The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive at Rourkela at about 5 PM and inaugurate the Birsa Munda Atheletics stadium in Rourkela. He will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various developmental projects of Sundargarh district worth Rs 900 crore. The Chief Minister will also dedicate the multi level car parking and swimming pool complex.
Naveen is also scheduled to visit the World Cup Village and Birsha Munda Hockey Stadium where he will join the opening ceremony of the IFH Pro League tournament. He will also felicitate the officials of FIH and Hockey India. He is scheduled to stay at Rourkela in the night and return to Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning.
