Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s remark on mining scam is very unfortunate, said BJD MLA Pratap Keshari Deb while urging the CM to uphold the dignity of his post.
The Chief Minister remarked that there was mining scam and no one would be spared. It was unfortunate that Majhi said that he was offered ministerial post and other offers by the BJD then while he was in the opposition party. Why Majhi had not revealed these things to the media, asked the senior BJD leader.
Addressing a press conference, Pratap Deb said that the Chief Minister is no longer in the opposition. He is now the Chief Minister of the state. He should have thought before making such a remark. It is his duty to uphold the dignity of the post he is holding, the BJD MLA said.
Deb further said that the Biju Janata Dal is always ready to face any situation and answer any question.
The top leader of his party (BJP) said that Odisha is ahead in mining reforms. The Prime Minister in the Parliament has acknowledged this. How can the Chief Minister forget this, questioned the BJD MLA.
