Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will dedicate 490 transformed high schools in four districts of the State today.
The Chief Minister will dedicate the schools in five districts under the ambitious High School Transformation Programme as part of the 5T initiatives of the Government.
As many as 135 schools in Cuttack, 100 schools in Kalahandi, 95 schools in Kendrapara, 90 schools in Bargarh and 70 schools in Jharsuguda will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the second phase of the High School Transformation programme.
A total of 2908 high schools will be transformed in this phase.
The Odisha Government has taken up the transformation of the High Schools in the state under the aegis of the 5T Initiatives with an aim to transform them into world class learning centers.
In the first phase, 1070 High schools have already been transformed. The new schools have the best and most modern teaching infrastructure such as smart classrooms, e-library, reading rooms, science laboratories, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
