Coast Guard Rescues Fishermen As Trawler Capsizes Of Kendrapada Coast

Kendrapada: At least twelve fishermen were rescued today morning by the personnel of Indian Coast Guard off Kendrapada Coast as their trawler capsized in deep sea. One person is reported to be still missing in the incident.

Search operation by the Coast Guard to rescue the missing person is still continuing. All the rescued fishermen belong to the Talchua area of Pattamundai Block in Kendrapara district. They had ventured into the sea yesterday and the trawler named Upasana sank yesterday evening. Getting information from the family residents, the Talachua marine police initiated search and rescue efforts and contacted the Indian Coast Guard. The health condition of some of the rescued fishermen is said to be critical.
